All too familiar

So here we go. Right off the fiscal cliff! The current batch of Republicans in the House of Representatives may be the most stubborn, self-centered group of elected members Congress has ever experienced. Of course there aren’t significant spending cuts in the plan being offered by the Senate. When the house failed to act, and couldn’t even get an agreement out of the majority party, that should have been the first clue that they weren’t going to get what they wanted.
Mr. Boehner, YOU kicked the ball over the Senate and told them to act. Now you owe it to the American public to take a simple up or down vote. This seems unlikely given that the entire time this batch of representatives has been in power they have refused to give an inch on any issue. Rather than looking out for the good of America, they have spent their time trying to push extremist agendas as mainstream.
The 2012 election should have been a wake up call, but it would appear that instead of waking up, the GOP majority in the house is going to do it’s very best to try to take the country into a second recession and then somehow pin the blame on Democrats>
I would be willing to bet, however, that like most of the other misguided efforts of the extremist GOP members that have focused purely on political gain for the past 4 years, that the American public is going to do what is right come the next election and kick enough of these extremists out of Congress that we will finally be able to get something done. Unfortunately, I think it is going to be two more years of suffering before we can make any real progress.
Shame on you Johh Boehner and Eric Cantor. You are not Patriots. You are whiny, self-centered, extremist nuts that would rather put millions of people out of work than to do the right thing!
