“They” being the GOP either think everyone else has short memories or many a Republican don’t understand the ubiquitous tool that is the Internet. So, they propose ideas, President Obama takes them up on their proposals, and then the GOP disown their own ideas; those they have presented and that Are. On. Line. Proof.
Like the sequester being President Obama’s recommendation: http://thinkprogress.org/economy/2013/02/10/1567251/democratic-congressman-destroys-gop-hypocrisy-on-looming-budget-cuts/
Or You Tube. Does the GOP not realize there’s such a thing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ve5NEOTDXM. It’s indefensible.
Here’s another: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-axrC8EQ6Y.
All you have to do is Google “You Tube and GOP Lies” and you’ve got a weekend of entertainment. If you define entertainment as the party of Lincoln lying repeatedly, getting caught, blowing it off, lying again, continue loop.
It’s sad and shameful. Winning at any cost is not a lesson we teach our children. At least Democrats don’t. Years ago I would have said “that’s too large a statement to say publicly.” But now we have the internet. Maybe one day the GOP will catch up with technology. If they can get over themselves long enough to recognize there are always new things to learn. I’m not holding my breath nor reveling in their ignorance. It’s bad for the country. We all suffer for their hypocrisy, and they don’t seem to care.
