Republican, Democrat, Independent, Socialist, Communist: You must remember these 22 men. They voted against the Violence Against Women Act–including Messrs. McConnell and Rubio. Among the things they voted AGAINST are the Nat’l Domestic Violence Hotline and laws against stalking. Apparently they won’t Stop Being Stupid until their spouse, daughter or girlfriend are harmed by someone else.
The Violence Against Women Act reauthorization passed through the Senate on Tuesday afternoon, by a vote of 78 to 22. Of those opposing the legislation, all 22 were Republican men. Every female Senator supported the bill. Among the most notable votes against the bill were Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), and Sen. Marco Rubio
