Guns in Schools and Bars?
2March 9, 2013 by Chris Kite
South Dakatoa just passed a law that allows schools to arm teachers. Georgia is moving toward allowing guns in bars. Is there a complete lack of common sense in “gun country?” If you cannot safely operate a motor vehicle or heavy equipment when drinking, why would guns be any different. The stupidity of those that are hell bent on putting a loaded gun in the hand of every American in every place they go is beyond scary.
And guns in schools? I am so glad I don’t have to worry about my kids going to schools where the teachers are packing. It is very, very hard to think fast and not make mistakes when in a highly stressful situation. Even more so if one is not used to the situation and has not been properly trained. Most municipal police and soldiers generally receive many many hours of weapons and situation training to help avoid the shooting of the wrong people. And yet, it still happens. I’m highly skeptical that schools, which cannot even afford to properly outfit schools and educate our children, can properly train someone to use a firearm in a fluid and stressful situation and avoid injuring or killing innocent people.
I can only hope that I’m wrong and we don’t see tragic results from these seemingly foolish new laws!
You’re absolutely right Invisible Mikey. And that’s the extent of the value of those laws.

These new laws are helping me know exactly where I would never want to visit, let alone live.
