Roots Have Deadly Grip

I’ve been watching the old mini-series, Roots. I am more ashamed of white male caucasian Americans from that period than ever before. “From that period” is my generosity; somewhere not to deep I believe that neanderthal still lives in the soul of many white Americans.
The mini-series is dated but still should be required viewing for everyone in every year of school. What we did to displace African-Americans is disgusting, and, like the Holocaust, the cruelty of mankind should never be forgotten.
I wonder where such arrogance is born and how it is allowed to exert its ugly self. Repeatedly.
