Supreme Court Rules DOMA Is Unconstitutional

Thank you Justice Anthony Kennedy for acknowledging DOMA has no legitimate purpose and hurts not helps protect marriage laws.
Love is love is love is love. And to experience it is a remarkable gift. For those legislators who rant about government being too imposing, how can they justify legislating something so wonderful for those who have found it?
Our country has real problems: we need sensible gun, immigration and tax reform, gender equity is still only a concept, war simmers in Syria. Do we really want to elect senators and representatives who:
- complain about government being too intrusive yet
- want to create laws that make some love legal and other love illegal?
When election season is upon us, let’s not forget those who would rather sit in judgement of love than the right to own semi-automatic weapons created for warfare, not our family’s protection, under a misguided interpretation of the 2nd amendment.
Today was a good day for our country. Celebrate it.
