Seriously?

The National Shooting Sports Foundation and the NRA are backing a “gun safety bill!”

Before you get too excited, read what they are are backing in the attached link.

They are actually promoting a tax deduction for gun owners as a gun safety measure. Don’t get me wrong. If you’re going to own a gun, you should have a gun safe. I would even go so far as to say it should be required by law. But hey, if you can afford a gun, you can afford a gun safe. Don’t put this on the taxpayers of America.

What most amazes me (okay, let’s be honest, I’m not so much amazed as I am just dumbfounded at the open hypocrisy of the right. Taxes should not pay for food stamps, welfare, birth control, healthcare, abortions, studies into the health and safety implications of guns. but taxes SHOULD be used to help pay for a safe for someone that can afford to buy a gun and ammunition?

I don’t think so!

Yet another attempt for these organizations to help boost revenue of their corporate puppet masters!
