The Only Thing We Have to Fear . . . Is Democrats?

Here’s a great piece by Steve Benen on Rachel Maddow’s blog.

Republican’s only hope seems to be to distract Americans with fear. Because they certainly cannot run on any real issues! Obamacare? America hasn’t ended and so far it has done exactly what it was supposed to do (other than the “If you like your health care policy . . . ” issue – which is really more that the health insurance companies don’t WANT to make the old policies compliant and/or continue selling them).

But if we’re going to listen to the fear mongers, there are some things we really should consider:

Which party was running the country when we were last attacked by Islamic Militants?

Which party had botched responses to major crisis (Katrina) and which did a good job (Sandy)?

And as Mr Benen points out, if we really should be fearful of Ebola and ISIS, shouldn’t we really want a fully funded government?
