Top Ten Things About the 2014 Mid-Terms

10 – Jon Stewart can continue to entertain us with his impression of Mitch McConnell.
9 – The Koch Brothers can go back to spending their billions on themselves instead of buying politicians.
8 – We are one step closer to getting back into a ground war in the Middle East.
7 – I no longer have to worry that people working minimum wage jobs will receive unfair wages that cause corporate owners to have to reduce their hundreds of millions in bonuses down by a few million.
6 – I no longer have to worry that women might someday earn equal pay to men in the same jobs.
5 – We now have a congress in place that is devoted to helping protect Americans from the horrible dangers of gay marriage.
4 – I can sleep better at night knowing that rich white men are one step closer to getting their rights back.
3 – I no longer have to fear ISIS will sneak into my house and behead my family and me.
2 – I no longer have to worry about the rampant spread of Ebola throughout the country.
1 – No more political commercials for a few months.

    And with the Quinn loss, I now understand why I must live in or near a large city with a diverse group of people, many who have a broad vision and open mind, who understand the consequences of voting for the candidates supported by those with the largest amount of Koch and other lobby money.
