It’s Amazing How Brazen They Are!

So now that Mitch McConnell and John Boehner share control of a third of our government (remember your civics – power is split between the Executive Branch, the Legislative Branch, and the Judicial Branch), they’ve made it clear that they are tired of President Obama doing things that are quite constitutional, but don’t sit well with them. They’ve likened executive action on immigration to “waving a red flag in front of a bull.”
As they’ve done the entire time President Obama has been in power, they’ve said, “pass our bills, then will talk.” But we’ve already seen that these Republicans cannot be trusted. They are just like Lucy holding the football for Charlie Brown. This time, kick the ball and we will hold it. Hahaha. Just kidding. You look like such a fool Charlie Brown! What is troubling is that this is bullying behavior. It has no place on playground and is certainly not something that we want to see in the people that hold a third of the power in the US.
After telling us how wrong it is for one branch to exercise its powers and take action without the other side, they’ve said they want to pass legislation giving the Keystone XL pipeline the go ahead. They seem to have forgotten all about the fact that the previous President, a Republican, issued an executive order saying cross border pipeline agreements belong to the Executive Branch with a multi-agency review led by the state department. Funny, but I don’t remember any Republicans screaming about “Executive overreach” back when George W Bush passed this Executive Order.
But then anything Obama does that the Republicans don’t like is Executive Overreach, unconstitutional, rammed through illegally, or any other excuse they can find. But in reality, they are just spoiled bullies stomping their feet that it isn’t fair that they don’t get to make ALL the rules and decide EVERYTHING.
It is amazing how brazen they are. But then again, the American voters were stupid enough to believe that they weren’t pulling the football out and that Charlie Brown was just missing on his own.
Enough already!
Brazen is one way to put it. Bigoted hypocrites is another.
