The Death of Ebola (In America)

There are currently zero cases of Ebola in the United States. Quite a few politicians stood up in front of bright lights and cameras and told us what a failure the Obama Administration’s handling of Ebola was. They screamed and fussed and did their best to make everyone afraid. (Which of course, is just more right wing hypocrisy, since these were mostly the same folks that tell us we should do nothing about guns, despite 30,000+ gun deaths in the US each year.)
So now we’ve had two people actually get infected in the US. Those two people were both healthcare workers and were obviously having direct contact with the first Ebola patient and they were in direct contact with that patient’s bodily fluids. Thankfully, and through medical science, both survived. Meanwhile, Dr Spencer took the subway around New York City, went bowling, and had casual contact with thousands of people I would imagine. Thousands of people with no protective gear. Thousands of people that had no idea they were near someone that had been exposed to Ebola. And guess what? Just like President Obama, the CDC, and the World Health Organization told us, there was no outbreak. Not even a little one.
So once again, the science proves correct and the hysterical news media and fear mongering politicians prove themselves wrong. Once again, sleazy politicians tried to make political gains by screaming about a flawed policy that actually was sound. Because it was based on science.
The silence is kind of deafening now, isn’t it?
