He’s Damaging The Presidency? Really?

Sometimes I wonder just how Speaker Boehner says these things with a straight face!

He warned the President! He warned him!

He warned the President that he was making it impossible for him to pass immigration legislation! Really? Because it seems to me the only legislation the Speaker has focused on is repealing Obamacare. That seems like a pretty damaging move by the congress to me. Voting over 50 times to repeal legislation when you know that repeal has zero chance of passing seems like pretty damaging behavior to me. It also seems like it is going pretty far toward proving that you cannot be trusted to work with the administration on anything.

He wants Obama to focus on the still struggling economy? The one that the Republicans have worked for six years to try to destroy so that they might win a political victory?

Maybe before Speaker Boehner talks about Obama damaging the Presidency he should think about his own party. Perhaps he should consider Richard M Nixon and George W Bush.
