The economy continues to improve. Yes, it is still giving more to the rich than the average person, but it is improving for everyone. More jobs. More pay. Less people losing jobs. And the best sting of job creation since the late 1990s. Let’s see, who was in the White House during both events? That’s right, a Democrat.
Had Democrats talked about this record, and talked about how Republicans work to make jobs high profitable for employers while Democrats work to make jobs pay the worker a decent wage, the Senate may not have turned over to the GOP. It is a record to be proud of. Especially since the Republicans in the Congress and Senate have done everything they can think of to try to stop any economic improvement for anyone other than the ultra-rich.
We still have a long way to go. Especially in the are of the wage gap between the rich and poor. But it IS improving and that is a positive sign that gives us hope.
