A Shameful Moment In Our History

1

December 9, 2014 by Chris Kite

Sometimes I think may in the United States, including a good part of the Republican Party, have spent too much time watching “24,” James Bond movies, and other action entertainment where torture gets results.

It is truly shameful that we resorted to this type of illegal activity in the name of safety of the American public. It wasn’t necessary, makes the United States look horrible, and, in the end, yielded no results.

It is unfortunate that no one in the Bush Administration was held accountable for their involvement in torturing people. It tells the rest of the world that we aren’t really sorry, haven’t really changed, and could return to these tactics at any time in the future.

Shame on us!

The GOP doesn’t care about the truth. Amazing and yes shameful hypocrisy. Rough ride ahead for most of the population. I say IQ testing requisite for the privilege of a vote. Draw the line at least at triple digits.
