Most of the sane people in the world get that guns don’t prevent violence. In fact, we recognize that guns exacerbate violence. But that doesn’t stop the NRA and their supporters from constantly beating the drum about how having a gun protects you from criminals. The facts don’t stop them either. It is an emotional argument where facts don’t matter. Mostly because America has a kind of addiction to guns. And the NRA serves as the kingpin for all the gun junkies.
