Republicans often refer to Democrats as “Tax and Spend Liberals”. And I suppose, compared to Republicans, that is true. Of course the Democrats recognize that in order to spend money, you need revenue from taxes to support it. So taxing and spending is just really common sense.

On the Republican side, we see tax cutting, budget cutting that particularly targets the poor and middle class, and we see debt. And then they defer the debt.

This is not fiscal responsibility. It is, by estimation of many, a calculated attempt to create a budget crisis so that Republicans can then slash spending in areas they hate. They can slash spending on the people that need it the most and continue to offer huge tax cuts to the rich. They can allow the rich to get richer and the poor to get poorer. Governor Walker is proving to be a master at this tactic.
