When Bruce Rauner was elected Governor of Illinois, many of us knew what was coming. At the time of the election, dissatisfaction with Pat Quinn was running high, and many in the state just could not vote for him. They argued, no one could be worse.

Well, now it’s been proven that we could do worse. Far worse!

Governor Rauner has attacked unions and now he is going after all commuters. He has drastically cut, by a third, funding for transit. Many of you that drive every day may be naive enough to think this doesn’t affect you. But it does. Because as transit falls apart, it drives people back to the roads. And with our roads already in horribly shape, and miserable traffic a Chicagoan badge of honor, more cars on the road is certainly going to result in worse traffic and more damage to our roads.
