Yesterday Rand Paul announced he is running for President. So now we have Ted Cruz and Rand Paul. Why must the Republican party be represented by such lunatic fringe candidates?

Rand Paul is a libertarian Senator that has traditionally been against needless wars and enormous military spending. But I guess he’s realized that in order to win the Republican vote you must support endless war and limitless military spending. So he’s shifted his view.

But let us not forget that Rand Paul thought the 1964 Civil Rights act was a bad idea. Well. That was before he thought it was a good idea, anyway.

You can bet more lunatic fringe candidates will follow as that is kind of what the Republican Party stands for these days.
