Republicans recently signed a budgetary amendment that backs support for selling federal public lands to states, who could then auction them off to oil, timber, and mining companies for exploitation. If this happens, it would take away public federal lands from the PUBLIC, and turn them over to private industry. It would end the Federal Government’s ability to consider the environmental impact of activities such as mining, drilling, and cutting of timber. Of course you can guess who is pushing this change. Yep. Big Oil and of course, when something stinks like this does, you also know the Koch brothers are involved.
