We know Ted Cruz is smart. He has the credentials to prove it. So he is either insane if he believes this stuff, or just pandering to the base if he doesn’t.

My two cents on his statement.

Cruz says his Christianity doesn’t allow for gay marriage. Okay. Don’t get married to another man. But when YOUR religion requires discrimination against someone that does not have the same beliefs, YOUR religion is trying to take away other people’s religious freedom. Because freedom of religion also means freedom FROM religion.
