Who Is It That Is Brainwashing People?

Sometimes you just have to admire the right. They want to ban books. They want to ban teaching of certain things such as actual history and science. They want to whine and complain about being oppressed when they can’t force their perverse interpretation of the bible onto others. And now, Rand Paul wants to free people from being brainwashed by the liberal elite on college campuses.

It would be funny if it weren’t so sad. The right shows all the signs of a cult group. If you don’t think like them, you’re un-American. If you don’t think their corporate masters deserve big tax breaks, you’re a communist. If you think ALL Americans should have equal access to certain necessary things like health care, you’re a socialist. Label, label, label.

And apparently, if you go to college, take lots of classes, and learn to think for yourself and make your own decisions, rather than trusting what conservatives tell you the bible says, or how trickle down economics works, well then we’ve just got to put a stop to that.

The right loves freedom. Freedom to be Christian. Freedom to be straight. Freedom to support corporations. Freedom to be shot by some idiot at Walmart that has a gun but shouldn’t. Freedom to marry anyone you want, as long as it fits with the right’s sense of right and wrong. Freedom to live on a planet completely altered by fossil fuels. Freedom to go to war with dark colored people that speak different languages, and have different religious ideals.

It get’s tiring!

I don’t think the Jihadists are the same as people with “Other religious ideals”.

I’m not sure anyone has said Jihadists ARE the same as people with “other religious ideals!” I know I certainly haven’t. Are you thinking of Iraq? Because prior to US Involvement, Iraq did not have Jihadists. They are a primarily Muslim country. But they had virtually no Jihadists. They had no involvement in 9/11. Iran? The vast majority of Iranians are not Jihadists. Syria? The vast majority of Syrians are not Jihadists.

Jihadists are no different that the whacked out right wing Christian fanatics that kill abortion doctors, bomb abortion clinics, and want to sentence all gay people to death. They are simply bad people that have twisted their religion into a message of hate and violence.

I want to make sure you understand what I’m saying: All Jihadists are Muslim, but not all Muslims are Jihadists. All right wing Christian fanatics are Christian, but not all Christian’s are right wing fanatics.
