Republicans are just so bad at science, math, and history.

Science? Yeah, well let’s talk about global warming or evolution.

Math? Budgets anyone? Trickle down economics?

But history takes the lead as their worst subject. We’re all familiar with their attempts to rewrite history books (literally) to eliminate negative things in the United States’ past. And we’ve seen all the talk in recent years about how the economy and Iraq are Obama’s fault. As well as the response to Hurricane Katrina.

But Rand Paul is particularly bold. He’s taking a favorite approach of Republicans and the right, and is now trying to make the past Hillary Clinton’s fault.

Yes, Bill Clinton signed into law changes in mandatory sentencing, “three strikes”, and other “get tough on crime approaches. But he didn’t write the legislation, it passed the Senate by an almost unanimous vote, and the trend started well before Clinton signed the bill into law. And if you look at the bulk of the US Prison population, there are far more state prisoners than federal. He didn’t change state laws.

Don’t let Rand Paul get away with changing history. Know the facts so you can shut down people that are going to believe him and spew this nonsense for the next 18 months!
