These stories are too common. They need to stop. I’m sure the NRA would like them to stop. As in just stop reporting them because they’re no big deal.

But the problem is the easy availability of guns and the lack of safety training and testing as a requirement to obtain a gun.

While many liberals would like to see guns go away, I don’t see that happening in this country. But there is no reason we can’t expand the background check to gun shows and private parties. And there is no reason we can’t require annual safety training to obtain and “maintain” a gun license.
