This is beyond infuriating! We don’t know exactly what he did, but anything worth allegedly paying $3.5M to cover up has to be pretty horrific. Everyone has their guesses. Clues allegedly point toward someone from the school at which he taught and coached.

There are so many interesting points about this.

Hastert was the leader of the Clinton Impeachment proceedings. Well, to be precise, he was the third leader. After Newt Gingrich, who resigned and subsequently announced his affair. Followed by Bob Livingston, who resigned and admitted having an affair.

Hastert makes the other two look like saints! Hastert did virtually nothing about Mark Foley’s scandalous relationship with a page. But it appears he had some real skeletons in his closet and it isn’t hard to connect the dots and figure out why he was not interested in doing anything about Foley.

His claim, however, that he too is a victim in this is beyond infuriating. If he truly did what everything thinks he did, to claim he is a victim is about as low as a human being can go.

Anything that someone is willing to pay $3.5M to keep quiet is far from a victim!
