You Have a Point. Reagan Pretty Much Was a Joke!

When someone throws you a low slow pitch, you just have to take a swing!
Errol Louis was on CNN to talk about Donald Trump announcing his candidacy for President. He said, and I quote, “People said this B-movie actor Ronald Reagan, he was playing opposite a chimpanzee, he couldn’t possibly be a serious candidate for office.” He hinted that people took Reagan’s campaign to be a joke.
So I’m just going to say it. Reagan was a joke! He was an awful President. He is the father of a lot of the problems we have today with income inequality, the infatuation with “small government,” and the need to thump our chests and attack anyone that looks sideways at us. He gets credit for things he shouldn’t (he didn’t defeat communism in the USSR, their constant military spending for decades did that).
However, should Donald Trump somehow manage to prove us all wrong and actually become President, I feel pretty safe in saying all the worst Presidents in our country’s history, including Reagan, George W Bush, James Buchanan, Herbert Hoover, and Andrew Johnson will move up one notch.
Because should Trump win, this country will be in deep, deep trouble!

Don’t forget that highly effective trickle-down effect!
