Amazing Grace, President Obama

Rev. Clementa Pinckney was just eulogized by President Obama. “We don’t need talk, we need action,” he said, talking about love overcoming hate, reminding us there are 30 gun deaths a day in the United States, and telling anyone who listened that we cannot fall into a comfortable silence of inaction when terrible acts of terrorism occur like the shootings in Rev. Pinckney’s church last week.

And then he sang. Amazing. Grace. That’s the courage of one’s convictions. Braver than any one guy brandishing a gun any day.
