The Facts Are Undeniable

The facts are undeniable, yet America, and especially the NRA and it’s stooges, keep denying them.

America has more guns and more gun homicides than any other developed wealthy nation. The NRA and gun nuts are quick to tell you that if you take away guns people will just kill another way. But that doesn’t show in the statistics. If you look up per capita homicides in developed wealthy nations, you will see that the United States (4.7 per 100,000) is far above pretty much all other similar countries. Here are some statistics:

Canada = 1.6
Switzerland = 0.6
France = 1.0
United Kingdom = 1.0
Germany = 0.8
Australia = 1.1
New Zealand = 0.9
Japan = 0.3
Austria = 0.9
Italy = 0.9
Spain = 0.8
Ireland = 1.2
Denmark = 0.8
Iceland = 0.3
Netherlands = 0.9
Sweden = 0.7
Israel = 1.8
Norway = 2.2

So yes, the facts are undeniable. When guns are taken out of the equation, there are less murders.

Guns in the house make suicide more likely.

Guns in the house make murder of an abused spouse more likely.

Guns in the house make accidental death more likely.

Guns equal death.

It is time we do something about this problem in American society. It is time we cure Americans of their deadly addiction to deadly guns.
