Thanks NRA for Another Depressing Week!

It’s been another depressing week in the United States. Lots of shootings in the news. And, as usual, many shootings not in the news. That’s because in a country where the NRA dictates an insane gun policy, shootings are common.
Very, very common. Depressingly common.
The attached link shows very startling statistics about guns in the US.
Some lowlights:
We have 4.4% of the worlds population and 42% of citizen owned guns.
There have been almost 900 mass shootings since Sandy Hook.
States with the most guns have the most gun deaths. (Duh!)
Countries with the most guns have the most gun deaths. (Duh! Again)
In states with more guns, more police officers are killed.
Police have killed over one thousand people since the Michael Brown shooting in August of 2014. Maybe if police officers weren’t always fearing for their lives because of the rampant prevalence of guns in this country, they might not be so trigger happy.
We need to take control of our country away from offensive lobbyists like the NRA!
We need to implement changes to our gun laws. Background checks on 100% of transfers of guns. Required safety training and certification. Registration and tracking of every singled gun.
