Hillary Clinton has finally come out against the Keystone XL pipeline.
I suspect her position was influenced by the success Bernie Sanders has been seeing with his very progressive positions on most subjects, including climate change. And I bet the Pope’s focus on climate change helped sway her, too.
I am not opposed to political candidates “evolving” on positions. We’ve seen it with many politicians and I think it is a positive sign. I would much rather have a politician that changes their position on something after reviewing the facts and listening to “the people,” than one that “stays the course” despite overwhelming evidence that the course is wrong.
