Just Another Thursday in The United States of NRA

There isn’t much to be said about this. We’ve said it all for the 44 other school shootings since Sandy Hook. Nothing is going to change. There is no will to take a serious look at the problems with guns getting into the wrong hands.
We’ve heard it all before.
Guns don’t kill people.
We have a mental health problem.
If it wasn’t guns, they would just kill some other way.
Taking away our guns will make us less safe.
It is numbing. It is distressing. It is depressing. It is prevented in every other wealthy developed country. But we can’t even come to agreement that we have a problem.
It’s just Thursday in America. Thursday in a country where the NRA is so powerful that it takes away people’s ability to think critically. Thursday in a country where school shootings are so routine it isn’t even shocking any more.
I need to go throw up.
