The data speaks for itself. Despite the constant proclamations by the right that Chicago is proof that gun control doesn’t work because it has strict gun control and is the murder capital of the country, the simple truth is, the states with lax gun laws have more gun deaths.
It doesn’t seem like rocket science. It seems pretty simple in concept. If you have more guns, you’ll have more gun deaths. Yes. These include murders, suicides, and accidental deaths. But based on the right’s lovely “All Lives Matter” stance, and their constant preaching of being “pro-life,” you would think this data would mean something. After all. A death is a death.
But it means nothing to the right. Because the NRA has been so successful at promoting gun and ammunition sales, that it has somehow convinced a good portion of the population in the US, that these gun deaths are somehow acceptable.
