You often hear those on the right scream about the Constitution. They are self proclaimed experts, even without having truly studied the subject. They are ALL experts on the second amendment and the “freedom of religion” part of the first amendment.

But when it comes to actually following the Constitution, they sometimes struggle a bit. Like Rep. Bob Gannon (R) of Wisconsin. Who seems to have skipped right over the sixth amendment.

“In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defense.”

Never mind the danger in just allowing anyone to determine those that are committing crimes and those that deserve to be shot.

Oh well. He probably watched “Death Wish” and figures that is good enough for him to be an expert. Well that, and the fact that he’s undoubtedly been purchased by the NRA.
