Republicans, Meet Condoleezza Rice and Colin Powell

Having pretty much flamed out on Benghazi, the right continues to fret about Hillary Clinton’s e-mail server. They rant and rave about how it was illegal, treasonous, and clearly a cover up of something more nefarious. They want a full investigation. They want prosecution.
It’s funny. With all their outrage and fretting over the supposed “confidential” information in those e-mails, even though none of them were marked as such, you might be tempted to think this actually has something to do with national security. But rest assured, just like Benghazi, it is nothing more than their attempt to avoid another four years with a Democrat in the white house.
Because if they were truly worried about national security, they would also be screaming and worrying about the exact same situation with former Secretaries of State, Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice.
But the truth is, what Hillary Clinton did was nothing new, it was not illegal, and it didn’t threaten national security. But lack of actual evidence never stopped a political move to try to suppress a formidable opponent.
