Let The Investigations Begin

There are allegations from a top Iranian official that U.S. Republicans were negotiating with Iran to try to postpone the release of hostages until the eve of the Presidential election. This is Iran and they certainly don’t have much of a history of being honest and direct. But we are talking about a Republican party that has openly attempted to sabotage economic recovery programs and anything else they could to make the Obama administration look bad. This is also a Republican party that openly held talks with a foreign leader, tried to torpedo the Obama Administration’s negotiations with Iran to end their nuclear program, and have taken huge campaign donations from extraordinarily pro-Israeli elite while arguing extremely strong pro-Israeli positions.
At the very least, there should be a full investigation into this. If this is true, it is completely immoral and even treasonous.
Will we ever find out the truth? It is hard to be overly confident in learning the truth. After all, this is a Republican congress that has repeatedly “investigated” the Benghazi embassy attacks and despite zero evidence of anything improper, any kind of cover up, or anything other that the Benghazi embassy deaths being an extremely tragic mistake, keeps insisting there is something there. At one point Rep. Richard Hanna (R-N.Y.) and House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy Richard Hanna (R-Calif.) even admitted that the Benghazi “investigation” was politically motivated to try to sink Hillary Clinton’s Presidential aspirations.
It isn’t at all hard to imagine that the Benghazi investigation, the Clinton e-mail investigation, a secret negotiation with Iran to delay hostage releases, and courting of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are nothing more than political strategy to try to gain power and remove Democrats from office.
