Congressional Republicans are Horrible People

Unprecedented. Disrespectful. Hateful. Divisive. Ugly.
These are all words that come to mind as I read that Congressional Republicans will not seek testimony from United States President Barack Obama’s budget director on the President’s final budget submission.
This has been happening for four decades, but this group of Republicans is so full of hate, fear, and divisiveness that they are not willing to even listen to the budget director.
Why are they like this? Because the Republicans have spent the last several decades perfecting fear based politics. They’ve been saying everything Obama does is bad for the country and is going to ruin America. If they were to talk to him, they might have to admit the economy has recovered well since the Republican created Great Recession. They would have to admit that our foreign affairs are in better order than when Republican George W. Bush was burning alliances and friendships so that he could carry out his long held dream of overthrowing Saddam Hussein. They would have to admit that Obama has managed to make progress on reducing our budget deficit and that under President Bill Clinton, before Bush got us in two wars, created two recessions, and cut taxes on the rich, we actually had a budget surplus. And, it should be noted, that budget surplus did not follow Republican doctrine.
Our country is in a bad way. The right encourages radical armed militants that took over a federal facility. They encourage hatred and divisiveness rather than trying to compromise and meet in the middle.
These Republican Congressional Representatives are horrible people. They place political ideals over anything else. They have been so indoctrinated into a sense of fear and hatred that they cannot bear the thought of actually talking to Democratic President.
