The Myth Of Red State Successes

I’ve attached a link to an Op-Ed by Illinois State Senator Daniel Biss. He brings up some very good points.

No two states are the same. No one formula works universally. But his point is very clear and very true. “Pro-business” tax and labor policies don’t insure success. Progressive taxes and strong business regulation don’t insure failure. Likewise, progressive taxes and business regulation don’t necessarily insure an end to budget problems.

The idea of looking to states like Minnesota and Massachusetts for ideas to solve our problems seems well thought out and a lot easier to sell than a path of union busting and tax cuts for the rich.
