Ted Cruz Sets A Low Bar

Ted Cruz sets a very low bar.He says he is willing to support Donald Trump. As long as he doesn’t shoot anyone. Call me crazy, but that is a ridiculously low bar for supporting someone as our next President.
I recognize that he is in part, trying to be humorous. But there is very little humorous about Donald Trump any more. When he was just a fringe candidate that everyone thought had no chance, he was humorous. Now that he has gained significant momentum toward winning the Republican nomination, it has become dire.
Apparently Ted Cruz doesn’t have a problem with someone being President that is openly racist, that encourages violent behavior, wants to curtail first amendment rights for the press and Muslims, and generally has no regard for truth or respect of others.
Republicans have shown for decades now that they are more interested in their party than the good of the United States. Mitch McConnell openly stated that his job was to prevent Barack Obama from winning a second term. Republicans have obstructed President Obama at every turn and have shown a willingness to even damage our own economy if it meant getting back into power.
This is wrong on every level. But it is not surprising.
