I cannot fathom a country in which Donald Trump is President. It is frightening and depressing to even think about the possibility. And yet, the possibility is looking real.

But I can think of something more depressing and frightening than Donald Trump as President.

Ted Cruz is scarier!

He doesn’t know how to get along with others. He is a single minded idealist from the far right fringes of the party. He believes the Bible overrules the Constitution. He is also a racist, just not quite as open about it. He is against the LGBT community. He is against equal rights. He is very, very pro gun. He wants to carpet bomb the Middle East. He wants to get rid of the IRS, consumer financial protection, the Department of Energy, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the Department of Education.

Ted Cruz wants to do everything possible to accelerate global climate change.

He would eviscerate oversight of US businesses and let them run rampant on consumers.

Perhaps Mitt Romney is telling people to vote for Cruz thinking that some third person, presumably not Trump or Cruz would get the nomination. I hope that is his intent.

Because I firmly believe Ted Cruz would actually be worse for America than Donald Trump. And that is very, very scary indeed!
