It is hard to imagine something worse than for profit prisons and the horrible things those have resulted in, but it does get worse.

Leave it to for profit organizations “serving” government functions, it does get worse.

A company called Advanced Correction Healthcare is a for profit organization that offers healthcare services for prisons.

And as you might guess, this organization has been involved in some very horrifying incidences. They’ve let inmates die. It is very shameful and they appear to have little accountability in their actions.

There are some things that belong in the hands of responsible government employees that are accountable to government and the people. There are some things we should not be turning over to for profit corporations. Making money off of prison healthcare? What could possibly go wrong?
