Protesting against Trump is good. Committing acts of civil disobedience is good.

But let’s keep the protests civil and peaceful, please. At least on our side.

Martin Luther King did not fight bigotry and discrimination with violence. He fought it with peaceful protest. And nothing outraged most Americans more than seeing a peaceful protester get assaulted. Especially by the very law enforcement people that were supposed to be there to protect the public.

So let’s keep up the pressure. Let’s keep spreading the word. Let’s fight hate and violence with peace and love. And let’s not give Trump and his supporters any ammunition against us in our fight to keep him out of the highest office in the land.
