Not everyone should be allowed to own a gun. It is a responsibility that some people aren’t capable of. The never ending stories of children that get hold of some “responsible” gun owners weapon and shoot either themselves or someone else should be enough to cause people to realize that.

It doesn’t have to be this way. People could still have guns and still hunt. But there should be certain requirements in order to have a gun. Such as safety training and certification to prove you are ready. Of course that wouldn’t eliminate all gun accidents. But even if we save just a few children, wouldn’t that be worthwhile?
