Do you remember when Donald Trump opened his mouth and actually said that there was no drought in California?

Once again he has been proven wrong, given that scientists say that drought has weakened trees and made them much more susceptible to damage and destruction from beetles.

Scientists also believe that global climate change has made the drought about 15-20% worse than it otherwise might have been. The global climate change the Donald Trump says was invented by China to hurt US trade.

So here we are in June, very early in the fire season, and we are seeing huge fires and tremendous risk due to all the dead and dried trees that have been damaged from beetles because the drought weakened them. They estimate that 26 million trees died in the last year alone. That is astounding. And dangerous.

You can be pretty sure that when Donald Trump is talking about anything other than bankruptcy, he probably has no idea what he is talking about. He is a blowhard, know-nothing, simpleton that pretends he knows things about which he is completely clueless.

And it gets worse. By 2025, the Forest Service is likely to use up two thirds of its budget, or $1.8B, just to fight wildfires.

The problems are real. The drought is real. Global climate change is real. Unprecedented wildfires are real.
