Trump Campaign Could Be In Trouble With FEC

Donald Trump’s campaign is in total disarray. He clearly is lacking professional support and there have been multiple disasters. From failing to stay on message, to alienating huge portions of the population, to an inability to properly raise money, he has just rolled for one amateur campaign problem to the next.
The latest issue goes much deeper apparently, because it isn’t just a simple inability to raise funds. His campaign has been soliciting money from foreigners. That is probably just incompetence due to the campaign’s inability to develop strong donator lists, but it is illegal.
The bigger problem are the indications that a super PAC is coordinating with the campaign. That is completely against campaign finance rules. It seems extremely far fetched that both the Trump campaign and a Super PAC accidentally sent solicitations to the same foreigners with sharing lists, so the logical conclusion is that they are coordinating efforts.
There has already been talk of the filing of complaints with the FEC. I think you can count on that. And I would guess there will be enough reason to start an investigation.
Naturally, even though Republicans have been proclaiming Hillary Clinton’s guilt on both Benghazi and the e-mail flap, before investigations were concluded, I would expect Republicans to determine in this case, there is no reason for an investigation or any presumption of guilt.
