A Speech Of FDR and JFK Elegance

Listening to President Obama’s speech last night during the Democrat National Convention reminded me that he is one of the great speakers of our time. I put him up there at the level of JFK and FDR. The language has changed from FDR and JFK days, it is simpler and more direct, but that is more a sign of the times than a difference in the person.
He has been an amazing President, working tirelessly through hard times and battling an obstructionist Republican Party willing to sacrifice the country rather than have him look good.
But he has looked good! He has solved problems and there is absolutely no doubt that things are better now than they were eight years ago.
And through it all, he has remained positive and upbeat. He has taken the high road even when his opposition did things like shouting “YOU LIE” during a State of the Union Address. He has suffered accusations and finger pointing like we’ve never experienced before. And yet, he has remained classy, intelligent, eloquent, and high spirited.
He speaks on a level that I can only compare to the great JFK and FDR.
Thank you, Mr. President!
