Many of Trump’s supporters point to the fact that he isn’t a politician and his business experience is a positive that will help him run the country. It is hard to find anything positive in that statement.

First, we have to forget about the miserable failures he has had with repeated bankruptcies and sunk businesses. Then there is the history of “businessmen” Presidents.

Two previous “businessmen” Presidents were Herbert Hoover and Warren Harding. Both consistently are ranked in the ten worst Presidents in our history.

Should Trump become President, he would be only the second President of the United States with absolutely no elected office experience.

Herbert Hoover owns the distinction of being the only President to have had no elected office experience prior to becoming President. He was big on economic protectionism. Hoover later defended nationalism.
