The talk about the Presidential candidates this year is that they’re both horrible candidates and it has never been so bad. The word is that you must just hold your nose and vote for the lesser of two evils.
This simply isn’t true!
The candidates are not “equally bad.” Has Hillary Clinton lied? Absolutely she has. Just like every Presidential candidate in modern history. That is what politicians do. They stretch the truth. They fib about their mistakes. They make up good reasons why they changed their position. That is politics. When caught in these kinds of lies, politicians spin their way around them. Again. That is what politicians do.
Donald Trump does not tell politician lies. He is a serial liar with no conscious. When confronted about his lies he digs in and simply says it isn’t true. When presented with evidence of his lies he says the media is out to get him and they are just repeating Hillary Clinton’s falsehoods about him.
The difference in their level of honesty is perhaps best illustrated by PolitiFact in it’s rating of 70% of Trump’s statements as mostly false, false, or “pants on fire.” This is its lowest score! Hillary Clinton, on the other hand, has 28% of her statements rated as mostly false, false, or “pants on fire.”
There is no equivalency!
Clinton tells some fibs. Donald Trump is a serial liar.
When confronted about her private e-mail server, Hillary Clinton admits it was a mistake and that if she could make that decision again. In other words, she has admitted being at fault and she has learned from it. It is important that people learn from mistakes.
When confronted about originally supporting the Iraq war, Donald Trump continues to look right at the camera and say it isn’t true. Despite the firm evidence that it is.
He continues to lie that our trade deficit is $800B. It is not.
He continues to lie about our taxes being the highest in the world. They are not.
Donald Trump is a pathological liar. He has no conscious. He absolutely cannot be trusted.
This is not a man that should be President of the United States or should represent the best that America has to offer.
