Trump supporters seem unconcerned with the FBI investigating Trump’s ties to Russia. Just like the latest investigation of e-mails related to Hillary Clinton, they’ve so far found no conclusive evidence.

Which leaves me puzzled about a few things.

First, why would the FBI make a very public announcement of a continuing investigation into possible e-mails linked to Hillary Clinton, but not announce a continuing investigation into Donald Trump’s possible ties to the Russian government? I think we all know the answer.

Second, if e-mails by the Secretary of State on a private server such a huge concern to people, why wouldn’t possible ties between Donald Trump and the Russian Government be just as significant?

The questions still hang there, unanswered and very troubling.

Why is Trump so fond of the Russian leader?

Why is Putin so fond of Trump?

What would Donald Trump and his family gain from a friendly relationship with an oppressive and empire building Russia?

Is Russia influencing our election by hacking into Democractic servers and making the information public?

It’s all extraordinarily troubling! I’m far more worried about potential ties between a US President and the Russian government than I am about a poor decision to use a private e-mail server.  There is no doubt Hillary Clinton isn’t going to do that again! But questions about Trump ties to Russia remain unanswered and potentially hazardous to US interests.
