Burning Down The House To Fix The Leaky Roof?

I have a really, really hard time feeling too sorry for anyone that was gullible enough to believe Trump. He ran a campaign of constant lies. They were well documented by the media, in the debates, on social media. If you trusted him, you were guilty of not paying attention. If you voted for Trump, you’re probably guilty of at least one of several things:
- You were gullible and let your irrational hatred of Hillary Clinton rule the day. You ignored all the warnings about his constant lies, lack of qualification, and history of only looking out for himself.
- You put party before country. You ignored the warnings because he had an R next to his name.
- You are rich and figured it would be best for you. An actual legitimate reason to vote for him because you only care about you.
- You are racist, sexist, or xenophobic. You might belong to the KKK, or you just enjoy being hateful and racist.
Joseph de Maistre once said, “Every country gets the government it deserves.” By so many people not paying attention, and looking at a reality TV star as some quirky good guy that was going to look out for the average Joe, instead of a spoiled rich bully that was only out for himself clearly got the government they deserve.
Unfortunately, I think we may have burned down the house to fix a leaky roof!
