To many liberals, things may seem bleak. But we must all remember that we are in a marathon, not a sprint. It will take many losses and lots and lots of marches, phone calls, petitions, letters, fund raisers, votes, and more to get a streak of wins going. So we should take a few minutes to celebrate several victories this week:

1 – A North Carolina court blocked the law passed by North Carolina’s GOP legislature to hamstring the new Democratic Governor.

2 – Two levels of court have put a hold on the Trump Administrations ban of travel from seven Muslim countries.

3 – A judge upheld a rule designed to protect people saving for retirement by requiring brokers to act in their customers best interest. President Trump had recently signed executive orders dispensing with the rule.http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-labor-fiduciary-idUSKBN15N2HF

Don’t get too excited. These victories could be temporary. But they are an indication of trouble to come for Republicans. We need to stay focused and keep fighting. There is hope for change. Be prepared for hard work over a long period of time because that is what it will take.
