Donald Trump Lie Of The Day

Recently, our President tweeted that Bernie Sanders called the media fake news while on CNN and was immediately cut off.
Like so many things President Trump says, this was a boldfaced lie. Senator Sanders was on CNN and he did in fact say fake news, but this is how things actually unfolded:
Senator Sanders was asked if it was a problem that President Trump said he was unaware that there was a report that his National Security Adviser Michael Flynn kept the fact he had discussed Russian sanctions with The Russian Ambassador prior to Trump taking office.
Senator Sanders responded, “Well I don’t know, maybe he was watching CNN fake news, what do you think?”
To which Erin Burnett responded, “You don’t buy it?”
Sanders the responded, “That was a joke!”
Bernett said, “I know it was a joke. I’m saying you don’t buy what he said, obviously?”
At that point the audio did cut out so they went to a commercial break.
They returned from the break and the interview continued for nine more minutes.
Our Republican President is a compulsive and shameless liar.
